Dementia Support - Music & Reminiscence 

 

Music plays a big role in our activities at the Centre.  It provides opportunities for singing, reminiscence, relaxation and encouraging people to join in with conversations and feel part of our lively community.

We regularly hold themed weeks which allows us to entertain and engage with people in a unique way.  Our most recent themes have included: Rock and Roll, Disney films, flower power and a week long beach party! We can use music, costumes, props & food etc to create an atmosphere that promotes lively discussions about memories from the past and leave people feeling happy and relaxed.
